The transformation of European manufacturing is not only driven by new technologies, but also by the people who design, adopt and operate them. To explore this crucial dimension, RaRe2 projects with its partner Syxis and a group of EU-funded projects are launching the webinar series “Future-Ready Manufacturing Starts with People – Upskilling, Collaboration and Fast Reconfiguration for Europe’s Industry.”

The initiative aims to create an open space for exchange and discussion among European research projects working on innovative solutions for the future of manufacturing. Through these sessions, participants will share experiences, compare approaches and identify common challenges, generating new knowledge that can support the development and real-world adoption of advanced industrial solutions.

People as a key enablers of industrial transformation

At the heart of the series is the idea that people are the key enablers of industrial transformation. As manufacturing processes become more digital, flexible and sustainability-driven, professionals need new skills, new ways of collaborating and a renewed mindset to fully leverage emerging technologies. The webinars will therefore explore how projects are supporting workforce development, promoting learning and fostering a culture of collaboration that can help organisations adapt to these changes.

The discussions will also focus on how to translate the results of EU research into practical approaches that can be used by companies, supporting the adoption of innovative technologies and more sustainable manufacturing practices across Europe.

The projects involved in the series are RaRe2, CREDIT, R3GROUP, MULTIMOLD, RESTORE, VOLTAGE, RENÉE and BIOGEMSE, which will share insights from their ongoing activities and engage in a collective dialogue on the future of industry.

Session #2 | 22 April 2026 – 2:30 PM CET

“From Skills to Action: Training, Exploitation and Market Pathways”

Building on the first discussion, this webinar will focus on how EU project results can move from research to real industrial adoption. Participants will exchange approaches for training, exploitation strategies and collaboration models that can help transform project outcomes into practical solutions used by companies.

The session will present examples of how projects are translating research into industrial pilots, demonstrators and real-life applications, while also discussing exploitation strategies that support the long-term impact of project results. Participants will explore how training programmes, guidelines and practical tools can help companies—especially SMEs—adopt innovative technologies and integrate them into their operations.

Finally, the discussion will highlight the importance of collaborative industrial ecosystems, where research organisations, companies and other stakeholders work together to accelerate the uptake of innovation and create new opportunities for sustainable manufacturing in Europe.

Through this second webinar, the series aims to close the loop between skills development and real industrial deployment, showing how people, knowledge and collaboration can ultimately transform research results into tangible solutions for the manufacturing sector.
